Provider Enrollment Specialist

 

Integrated Physicians Management Services (IPMS), a premier Management Services Organization located in East Hartford, CT has an opening in our Credentialing department for a seasoned medical professional to assist with payer credentialing 500+ providers. We manage physician groups throughout New England and some southern states.

We are looking for someone with Administrative experience in the medical field, preferably in credentialing or physician billing or within a hospital setting with an understanding of managed care and government insurance products. The perfect candidate will be detail oriented and customer service driven . Additionally, the incumbent will be skilled and experienced with Excel and report writing as well as using these in conjunction with our credentialing software.

The incumbent will be responsible for completing applications for providers of multiple specialties as well as validating and re validating for Medicare and Medicaid. Understanding of credentialing processes and procedures is preferred. This is a perfect job for someone who wants to work part time or for someone who is looking to scale back and reduce their hours.

This position is part time, however there is flexibility with the schedule.

Medical Billing Clerical Assistant

Integrated Physicians Management Services, a Management Services Organization located in East Hartford, CT has an opening for a full-time medical billing clerical assistant to join its team of professionals! The clerical assistant is responsible for supporting the medical billing teams.

POSITION SUMMARY: The primary function of the clerical assistant is to provide support to facilitate and assure proper billing and collections of Accounts Receivable. Works in concert with Medical Billing Team for the common purpose of providing outstanding customer service and maximum reimbursement to our clients whereby maximizing overall satisfaction. Assures that team tasks are performed timely and accurately to allow for smooth operations and minimizing claim denials and optimizing client revenue and overall satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Cross trained in order to provide transparency of production demands during team member vacations and absences.
  • According to client specific guidelines, prepares deposits received by lockbox and downloads electronic EOBS to verify deposit totals researching and correcting discrepancies as necessary.
  • Scans charges and deposits to the Data Processing department assuring that all records were completely sent. Verifies that all records were received and accounted for assuring consistent processing of accurate data.
  • Processes credit card payments received through correspondence or via patient phone call utilizing internal credit card processing system.
  • Prepares CMS-1500 claims for submission within 24-hour turnaround to assure timely and accurate reimbursement from all insurance carriers and government agencies.
  • Download’s demographic information from various clients, including hospitals via email secure website or hospital terminal in order to transfer data into the billing system format (Healthpac). Edits downloaded information and completes all aspects of required fields to assure the registration and creation of accurate patient accounts on the Healthpac billing system.
  • Research and updates incorrect addresses and returned mail in an effort to assure claims and correspondence are sent timely and correctly to the appropriate recipient.
  • Performs all other duties and special projects as assigned.

Minimum Education Requirement: High School Diploma.

Minimum Experience: 1-2 years of clerical experience within a medical or billing office environment is preferred or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

Physical demands: reaching, standing, sitting, basic lifting of medical records, small boxes up to 20 lbs at maximum

POSITION SUMMARY: Performs complete and accurate billing & collections to assure policies, guidelines and protocols are being adhered to while obtaining optimum efficiencies in a cost-effective manner. Establishes priorities and consistently meets required deadlines.

Striving for complete accuracy, obtains maximum reimbursement for all billable services in order to provide optimal customer satisfaction to all clients and patients. Communicates effectively with patients, physicians’ offices, hospital personnel and all IPMS staff to build and maintain positive business relationships. Cross-trained to perform all billing and collections functions to assure that team is fully staffed at all times. Works collectively with all members of the team as well as all IPMS employees to ensure production goals are consistently being met.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analyzes explanation of benefits (EOB’s) to detect payment discrepancies and payer trends to determine appropriate follow-up, i.e., resubmissions, adjustments and refunds.
  • Researches account activity based on analysis reports, denial reports, and correspondence resulting in additional follow- up with patients, insurance carriers and referring physicians, etc. within an outlined timeframe as set forth by management. Properly utilizes internet to research account activity with insurance carriers.
  • Communicates effectively with patients, physicians’ offices, hospital personnel and all IPMS staff to build and maintain positive business relationships. Heavy phone volume
