ICD-10 Changes, effective October 1, 2021

Reminder that ICD-10 changes take effect on 10/1/2021.  There are 159 new codes, 18 deleted codes and 14 codes that are no longer valid.  The greatest number of new codes is the Chapter 19 (codes S00 through T88 with 45 being added, 36 of these codes deals with poisoning/adverse reactions to cannabis, 6 with traumatic brain compression and 3 with complication of immune effector cell therapy.

Be sure to check with your EMR provider to verify that your ICD-10 files have been updated.
